The Orange Circle is a little area that has developed over the past couple years and introduced great restaurants, bars, and café’s. One of the most fun places located in the circle is The District Lounge. This lounge vamps up Old Towne Orange, giving people a more upbeat, lively place to drink and dance! With specials all week, like Taco Tuesday food and drink deals, and “Industry night” on Sundays which features $3 well cocktails, the District is always a great time.
Unlike some of the other dive bars or restaurants located in the circle, The District is a prime spot to go dancing with friends, or grab a drink with your guy/girlfriend. It has a great crowd every night of the week, but Thursday to Saturdays are when it really gets packed. They feature DJ’s certain weekend nights, even bringing in a “partyrock” dance crew to dance and mingle with the crowd, which just adds to the fun! Their drinks are also great prices, ranging from $4 to $9 depending on the level of liquor you choose. They have a great amount of high-top tables and booths to sit at for breaks from the dance floor, and TV’s with entertaining music videos to go along with the great music! The attire ranges, altough guys are usually in jeans and a nicer top (rather than a t-shirt) and girls wear everything from jeans to skirts and dresses.
Another awesome feature of The District in Orange is its back patio! Since the lounge can get heated from everyone dancing, it’s a great back area for you to cool down and chat in a little quieter area with your friends.
Overall, The District is a great nighttime spot to hit up any night of the weekend. The music is always bumpin’, the drinks are flowin’ and everyone is there to have a good time! The District has another location as well in Newport, located on the Peninsula.
